[Jay again. Sometimes I am asked to create works in charcoal or pencil. I love both mediums. When I’m asked to create a portrait of a loved one who has passed away, these black and white charcoal portraits seem somehow appropriate for reasons I can’t explain. Like creating the art itself, it’s an instinctual thing.]
